CC Communique

The Central Committee discussed a draft of the ideological resolution presented by the Polit Bureau. On the basis of this discussion, the next meeting of the Central Committee will finalise and adopt the draft ideological resolution which will then be circulated in the Party for discussions before placing it in the Party Congress.

Killing of Muammar Gaddafi

From the outset, the blatant aggression of the US-Nato was to effect a regime change in Libya even though it was proclaimed as an intervention to save the Libyan people and for the establishment of democracy. The claim that the killing of Gaddafi marks an end of despotic rule is sheer hypocrisy since it is the US and its allies which prop up the most despotic regimes.

Libya: Stop The Aggression

The Security Council resolution on Libya has been utilized by the Nato for this attack. The five members of the Security Council, which includes India, who abstained on the resolution should immediately demand a review of the resolution. Till then there has to be a halt to the military action by Nato.

No Intervention In Libya

It is for the people of Libya to decide how to resolve their problems and what type of political system they require. The US and its allies have no right whatsoever to violate the sovereignty of Libya in the name of a humanitarian intervention. Just as in Iraq earlier, the western powers are interested mainly in the oil wealth of Libya and seek to utilize the revolt against the Gaddafi regime to pursue their own interests.
