communalism

The Polit Bureau conducted an in-depth review of the political-tactical line which the Party has been pursuing. A review report will be placed in the next Central Committee meeting. Central Committee Communiqué

The Central Committee called upon the entire Party to conduct a campaign on the following issues: (i) against FDI in railways, insurance and defence production; (ii) against disinvestment in public sector shares; and (iii) against dilution of labour laws.....The party will take up a political and ideological campaign against the offensive of the Hindutva forces and all forms of communalism and the efforts to communalise the education system and text books.

New BJP President

The new BJP President has been chargesheeted and is undergoing trial on the serious charge of murder connected with false encounters when he was the Home Minister in Gujarat. The Election Commission had prohibited him from participating in the election campaign in Uttar Pradesh during the Lok Sabha polls for making communal speeches. By this choice of President, the BJP has declared its intent to pursue the type of communal politics and agenda that was practiced in Gujarat.

Convention Resolution

The riots in Muzaffarnagar are the most glaring example.

In all such riots, it is the minority community which ultimately bears the brunt of the violence in terms of deaths and destruction of property.

In the meanwhile the bail of Amit Shah should be cancelled.
