Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly and CPI(M) Polit Bureau Member, Surya Kanta Mishra alleged on Sunday, 29th September that theC". He slammed the State government for withdrawing a Bill introduced by the previous Left Front government to regulate ponzi schemes and for deliberately delaying the introduction of a stringent law to stop the "illegal change of hands of property of the real culprits in the scam."
Pointing out that the State government could have easily compensated the depositors by confiscating the property of those involved in the scam, Dr.Mishra accused the State government of "intentionally trying to hide the truth because it is afraid that the connection between the ruling party leaders and the scam will get exposed."
