Ex-BJP Workers Assocciate with CPI(M)

More than two thousands BJP workers have left the BJP and expressed their willingness to co-operate with CPI (M). For the last few months, they were working in a non-political platform called Namo Vichar Manch. Most of the workers are from Panur one of the RSS strong hold in the state.

These dissident leaders were engaged in a continuing tirade against BJP leadership for its undemocratic posture and moral erosion.   They had then blamed the state leadership for neglecting the issues in the district unit. This undemocratic attitude prompted to disassociate BJP and form a new organization. Initially this organization co-operated LDF’s struggles against Kasturi Rangan Report. Later on this group decided to associate with the CPI (M). RSS leadership reacted with a violent attack on these leaders.

While inaugurating the massive meeting to receive the former BJP leaders, CPI (M) state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan said that intolerance expressed by some centers on the decision to receive these leaders in baseless. Party will not shut doors to those who wish to associate with us. Those who show intolerance want to weaken CPI (M). Right wing and left extreme forces criticize this decision simultaneously. Ex BJP leaders came to our fold after shedding all right wing ideology and they are committed to uphold the policies CPI (M), he said.
