CPI(M) Kerala state secretary Pinarayi Vijayan has urged the Revolutionary Socialist Party state committee to stand with Left and Democratic forces. The issues regarding seat sharing have always been settled within the front, he said. Any hasty and emotional step will weaken Left unity. We hope RSP which has worked strongly to strengthen Left Unity will not take such stand in the current political situation. All Left parties must endeavour to strengthen the unity, Pinarayi added. He also urged the leaders and workers of RSP to strengthen Left Unity.
Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan also urged RSP leaders not to resort to any hasty step. He hoped that the issues regarding seat sharing can be settled within the front.
